The Kansas City Chiefs were back in the win column on Sunday following the bye week, knocking off the Oakland Raiders by a score of 40-33.
Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 23-of-38 passes for 295 yards and four touchdowns in the game - becoming the fastest player to throw for 4,000 career passing yards during the contest – while finding Travis Kelce 12 times for a career-best 168 yards through the air.
It all helped Kansas City tally 40 points for a fifth time this season and maintain the top record in the AFC in addition to a high standing in this week's "NFL power rankings" from around the web.
NFL.com analyst Elliot Harrison has Kansas City at No. 4 in his rankings, behind the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots, while the folks at Yahoo! Sports and ESPN ranked Kansas City as the third-best team in the league.
CBS Sports, meanwhile, bumped the Chiefs up a spot to No. 2 this week, behind only Los Angeles.
