The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to move to 8-0 on the season earlier this week, and unsurprisingly, the Chiefs remain either at or near the top of the various NFL "power rankings" around the web.
Kansas City topped CBS Sports’ rankings once again this week, for example, alongside the following analysis from CBS Senior Writer Pete Prisco:
"They just keep on winning. That's all that matters."
The folks at Pro Football Focus also tabbed Kansas City as the league’s best team in their latest rankings. Here's what the rankings' author, Thomas Valentine, wrote about the Chiefs:
"The offense looked as good as it has all season against the Buccaneers, and the Chiefs are now 8-0 and flying. If the offense can remain at this level, then the rest of the NFL might be doomed. They're also in the top 10 in EPA per play on both sides of the ball."
