The Kansas City Chiefs won in dominant fashion on Sunday, beating the Chicago Bears, 41-10, to claim the top spot in the AFC West while maintaining a high standing in the various NFL "power rankings" from around the web.
The Chiefs checked in at No. 3 in NFL.com’s rankings this week behind only the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers. Here's a portion of what Lead Draft Writer Eric Edholm had to say about Kansas City:
"Patrick Mahomes dished the ball around like candy, while the run game was the best it has looked since the Super Bowl. And the defense! The Chiefs have allowed four TDs this season: one was a pick-six in Week 1, and one was a garbage-time score Sunday…This is still a pretty complete football team that can clean your clock almost any given week."
The folks at CBS Sports also placed the Chiefs at No. 3 in their rankings this week, slotting Kansas City behind only San Francisco and Philadelphia. Here's more from CBS Sports' Pete Prisco:
"They got the offense on track against the Bears, which is not a good sign for the rest of the league. The defense has been really good so far."
