Chiefs Announce New Additions to Arrowhead Stadium for the 2017 Season

The Kansas City Chiefs will kick off the 2017 NFL regular season at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 17 against the Philadelphia Eagles with plenty of new additions for fans to be excited about. Both concessionaires, Aramark and Levy Restaurants, will be featuring new concepts this season at their concession stands on both concourses and the Scout Investments Club Level. The Chiefs have made new additions of their own, such as the new Locker Room Club located outside the player's locker room on the field level.

Lower and Upper Concourse Concessions (Aramark)

BBQ Alley at the Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Spectrum (sections 118-122) will soon become a fan favorite at Arrowhead this season, featuring three Kansas City metro area BBQ restaurants: Smoke Brewing Company, Plowboys Barbeque and The Little Pig BBQ. All stands feature their own signature BBQ items, including fan favorites like the BBQ Sundae (The Little Pig BBQ), Deep Fried Burnt Ends (Smoke Brewing Company) and the American Royal Championship Pulled Pork Sandwich (Plowboys BBQ).

BRGR Kitchen Bar is making its mark in Arrowhead at section 102. A Bread & Butter Concepts restaurant, BRGR Kitchen Bar will feature four burgers: The Big Mock, The Number 3, The BRGR and The S&P. Other available signature menu items will be Pig Wings, Chile Fondue with soft pretzel sticks and the Not- So-Standard Tots with BRGR's version of Totchos.

Zoom Food is Aramark's latest prototype that explores bringing favorite foods such as burgers, chicken tenders and fries to fans in a new way. Based on progressive guest experience research, Aramark designed a concession stand where fans have an all-new level of control through self-ordering kiosks and beverage stations. Once completed, fan orders will be at color-coded pick-up stations. Zoom Food is at section 111.

Chickie's & Pete's has been a Philadelphia icon since 1977, serving its world-famous Crabfries, Cheese Steak Sandwiches, and Boneless Buffalo Wings. Arrowhead now marks as only the second NFL stadium Chickie's & Pete's has a venue in, the other being Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. Fans will find Chickie's & Pete's in section 130.

Dickey's Barbeque Pit is known for serving "Authenticity with a Conscience," sourcing only responsibly raised, quality meats. With five locations in the Greater Kansas City metro area, fans will find the new addition to Arrowhead at section 301. Featured menu items include the Chopped Brisket, Waffle Fries, half- pound Rack Ribs and Frito Pie.

Craft Corners are a new addition to the Arrowhead Stadium beverage experience. An additional 13 bar locations have been added serving mixed drinks, select wines, draft and packaged beers, refillable souvenir soda, and bottled water. Among these 13 locations are six Bar Express stands (sections 101, 136, 309, 332, 345 and 321), five Kansas City Cocktail Co. bar portables (sections 108, 115, 126, 133 & 318) and two bars at The CommunityAmerica Credit Union Huddle (section 123).

In addition to all of the new concepts that Aramark has added this season to Arrowhead, fans should be on the lookout for new menu items at general concession stands. The Arrowhead Biscuit (sections 103, 135), the Loaded Potato Skin Burger (sections 109, 127, 303), the Coca-Cola Braised Short Rib Mac and Cheese (Mac Shack, sections 104, 117, 301, 326), the Bacon Alfredo Chicken Sandwich (The Coop, sections 112, 126, 303, 326), the Carved Roast Beef Sandwich (The Carvery, section 109) and the Carved Turkey Sandwich (The Carvery, section 109) are all of the new feature items.

Scout Investments Club Level Concessions (Levy)

This year at Arrowhead, Levy Restaurants has seen the most change since the full stadium renovations in 2010. Levy took two stands and repurposed them, changing a regular Grill Stand into the Stadium Stockyard with half-pound burgers from the Kansas City Steak Company with premium toppings on a salt and pepper brioche bun, branded with the Arrowhead logo. Along with the burgers, a variety of chicken wings are also offered, serving a dry ranch rub wing, Thai BBQ, and Buffalo, all located at section 220.

Another new stand concept, Kingdom Kantina, features a south of the border menu. Items such as Nacho Grande featuring homemade chips and street tacos topped with queso fresco are just the beginning. To go along with these staples, there is the pork carnitas torta with a fresh locally prepared torta roll with all the fixings and a Chili Relleno, a cheddar cheese stuffed Anaheim chili pepper topped with roasted tomato sauce. Some great sides to go along with entrees are spicy shrimp cocktail containing shrimp in spicy tomato sauce, topped with shredded cabbage and fresh lime or Elote Mexican street corn with chili butter topped with cotija cheese and chili lime salt. Spicy queso dip and fresh made guacamole round out the offerings available at section 238.

Levy has also introduced cashless lanes at two locations, stand 210 and 215. This will give customers a more efficient experience in line as these locations only accept credit/debit cards.

Arrowhead Stadium Amenities

Field Box guests and fans who use points through the Chiefs Kingdom Rewards program will have the chance to gather in Arrowhead's newest addition: the Locker Room Club. Located on the stadium's lowest level at the 50-yard line behind the Chiefs bench, the Locker Room Club is steps away from the players' locker room entrance with a view of the postgame press conference room. Fitted with a full service bar and numerous televisions throughout the room, fans will get up-close access to players as they come and go from their locker room during pregame, halftime and postgame.

The press conference room, directly next door to the Locker Room Club, now features a one-way glass wall that allows fans the opportunity to watch postgame press conferences given by Head Coach Andy Reid and select players. Audio from the press conference room is piped into the Locker Room Club as well so fans can hear comments from the team.

The Huddle, brought to you by CommunityAmerica Credit Union, is an all-new viewing platform located in section 123 at the bottom of the CommunityAmerica Gate. The space, which was introduced in May, is open to all fans on game day and follows the trend of giving fans more gathering spaces inside the stadium without impeding their opportunity to see the action on the field.

Fans will hear an improved sound system at Arrowhead Stadium. During the offseason, the Chiefs added six new RCF Dual 24-inch subwoofers to the stadium's speaker cluster. Fans will now experience a more balanced sound system with ultralow frequency.

The National Football League and Intel Sport Group have partnered to deploy its "FreeD" video technology in select stadiums, including Arrowhead Stadium, beginning with the 2017 season. "FreeD" is a new form of volumetric video, which creates all-new ways to watch video and replays. These volumetric images are created by calibrating a series of 38 in-stadium cameras so that pixels captured by each camera are lined up in space with each other. Fans will have access to a number of video clips featuring this technology for replays and Chiefs Mobile app content.
