Chiefs Team Up with Bud Light to Celebrate World's Loudest Fans with Sound-Activated Fridges

Cheers to the Loudest Cheers - Raise a Glass (and your voice) to Celebrate the 10-Year Anniversary of Chiefs Fans Breaking the World Record

DecadeOfDecibels

Make some noise Chiefs Kingdom, it's time to celebrate the greatest (and loudest) fans in the league. On September 29, 2014, Chiefs fans broke the record for the loudest crowd noise at 142.2 dB at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. To celebrate the fans and the 10-year anniversary of this feat, the Chiefs and Bud Light have partnered to create an unforgettable moment to commemorate the occasion during the December 8 Sunday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Chargers at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

During the first half, fans will be prompted to unleash their team spirit and cheer as loud as they can. To honor the accomplishment, the Chiefs and Bud Light have created a custom, co-branded glass fridge that will sit on the GEHA Drum Deck in the stadium and will "break open" as fans cheer to honor breaking the world record in 2014.

Shortly before the moment happens, the videoboard will play a "Decade of Decibels" rewind highlight video, sponsored by Bud Light, followed by a live shot of Chiefs Legends, who played in the historical game in 2014, surrounding the fridge as it "breaks open," setting off a special reward for fans.

For fans attending the game (21 and older), upon entry they will receive a commemorative koozie with a QR code inside. The QR code will lead them to a Bud Light webpage (that will be age gated before allowing entry to the site). Once the crowd cheers and the fridge "cracks open," fans can enter online to win free beer for an entire year – and 142 people will be selected as winners.

For the fans who can't make it to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium (21 and older), there will be a Chiefs and Bud Light co-branded glass fridge set up at both The Other Place Overland Park (7324 W 80th St, Overland Park, KS 66204) and Johnny's Tavern (1310 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64106) in downtown Kansas City. Once the in-stadium fridge "breaks open" during the first half, the fridges in each location will "break open" as well, and the bar will provide one free beer for each patron.

"We're excited to celebrate this milestone with our fans and Bud Light," Chiefs President Mark Donovan said. "The energy at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is unmatched, and we can't wait to relive that record-setting moment together. This is a big thank you to our fans – the heartbeat of this team. The passion, energy and unwavering support drive us to be our best every single day. We are incredibly grateful to have the greatest fanbase in the NFL, they are what makes Chiefs Kingdom so special."

"Fans are the center of everything we do at Bud Light, and we are amped to celebrate this milestone alongside them," Todd Allen, SVP of Marketing for Bud Light said. "We're grateful to work with the Chiefs to bring the cheers to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and herald in a new decade of record-breaking fandom."

This time, we're turning the camera around and shining a spotlight on the incredible fans who make it all possible. Cheers to honoring the spirit of Chiefs Kingdom and creating more legendary memories for years to come.
