As we enter Week 1 this coming weekend, NFL writers across all mediums have begun to release their predictions for the 2015 season.

In his Monday column titled “See Ya in Santa Clara” for MMBQ.si.com, Sports Illustrated's Peter King had one of the more interesting predictions out there regarding the AFC West.

King pens the Kansas City Chiefs as winning the AFC West division, but still believes the Denver Broncos, who in his eyes will earn a wild card bid, will reach the AFC championship game, while the Chiefs will not.

In the AFC championship game, King has the Baltimore Ravens over the Broncos, 27-20. From there, he believes the NFC's Green Bay Packers will defeat the Ravens in Super Bowl 50, 31-27.

Another Chiefs-related prediction from King is that general manager John Dorsey will earn NFL Executive of the Year honors. Dorsey, who came in with head coach Andy Reid in 2013, shares the credit for the team's biggest single-season turnaround in franchise history from 2012 to 2013, along with the 20 combined wins over their first two seasons in Kansas City.

Last October, King told Chiefs.com that Reid and quarterback Alex Smith work so well together because they are like "two peas in a pod."
