Safety Tyvon Branch Named the AFC's Defensive Player of the Week

The former Raider played well in Oakland

Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyvon Branch has received AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his game last Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.

Branch had 4 tackles (3 solo), 1 pass defensed and the game-clinching interception for a touchdown in Kansas City's 34-20 win.

"It's a blessing," he said upon receiving the award. "To be a part of a team like this and a defense like this, it's definitely a blessing."

It was his first game against the Raiders after spending the first seven years of his career with the organization.
