The Kansas City Chiefs (10-6) host the Tennessee Titans (9-7) Saturday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium in the Wild Card round of the AFC playoffs. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. CT.
The Chiefs head into the playoffs feeling good and with plenty of momentum, winning four-straight and finishing with a 6-2 record at home this year.
In fact, the Chiefs have outscored their last three opponents (Dolphins, Chargers, Raiders) at Arrowhead by a combined score of 85 to 41. All three wins were by two possessions.
And as is the case every Tuesday morning, the experts from around the league have put out their latest power rankings.
While they don't mean much in the big picture, it does give everyone an idea of the perception of where their team stacks up compared to others across the league.
Here's where the Chiefs now sit in the final power rankings of the regular season:
ESPN – No. 10 (Last week – No. 8)
"Opponent winning percentage: .477; eighth-easiest. When the Chiefs beat the Patriots and Eagles to start their season, who knew they'd be beating the 1-seeds from the AFC and NFC? Kansas City's schedule was a lot easier the rest of the season, which makes that 1-6 stretch midway through even more perplexing."
Bleacher Report – No. 9 (Last week – No. 9)
"It was awesome to see Patrick Mahomes playing quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. The kid's a natural playmaker. I don't think anyone can deny that after watching him. Mahomes has starter ability, and I'm excited about that.
I'm also excited to see the Chiefs in the postseason. Kansas City has been terrific over the past few weeks, and the offensive resurgence under coordinator Matt Nagy has been impressive. The defense has been playing better, and the run game is back on track.
All of this leads me to believe the Chiefs are ready to make some noise in the playoffs. They might not be the best team in the AFC, but they're capable of beating any team in the conference when things go according to plan."
