NFL Power Rankings: How High Did the Chiefs Climb After Sunday's Win?

The latest power rankings are out

After the Kansas City Chiefs (2-1) beat the New York Jets (1-2) last Sunday, thanks in large part to a dominant defensive performance by forcing eight turnovers and coming away with six interceptions, the folks over at NFL.com obviously liked what they saw enough to move the Chiefs up four spots in their latest power rankings.

After the loss to the Houston Texans in Week 2, the Chiefs had fallen out of the top 10 to No. 12, but after Sunday's win over the Jets, who were ranked No. 10 headed into that game, the Chiefs climbed back up four spots to No. 8 this week.

Here's what Elliot Harrison of NFL.com had to say about the Chiefs:

"What a rebound by the Chiefs' defense on Sunday. The key stanza might have been the fourth-quarter interception by on a tipped ballRyan Fitzpatrick tried to force a throw into Quincy Enunwa on first-and-goal, then went back to the well again on second-and-goal. Tip drill. With Jamaal Charles slated to return soon, next week's matchup looks awfully tasty ... at Heinz."

The Chiefs travel to face the Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 7) on Sunday Night Football.

To round out the rest of the AFC West, the Denver Broncos (3-0) climbed up one spot this week to No. 2, the Oakland Raiders (2-1) climbed two spots to No. 15 and the San Diego Chargers (1-2) dropped four spots to No. 25 this week.
