MRI Confirms Torn ACL for Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles

Charles went down in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Bears

After Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles left Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears with a non-contact knee injury in the third quarter, preliminary tests were that Charles had suffered a torn ACL.

On Monday, the MRI confirmed that Charles does have a torn ACL in his right knee.

Charles is in his eighth year with the Chiefs and became the franchise's all-time leading rusher last season.

He currently has 7,220 yards rushing in his career and ranks No. 1 in NFL history with a 5.48 yards per carry average.
