Mock Draft Roundup 4.0: Which Positions Are Most Popular for Chiefs at No. 27?

The latest mock drafts are out and we’ve consolidated them into one place

Last year, there was only one mock draft roundup article that contained the name of the player the Kansas City Chiefs would ultimately choose with their first pick—former Mississippi State defensive lineman Chris Jones.

While the selection came in the second round (No. 37 overall) after a trade down, let's still show ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay some love—he was the only one who had the Chiefs taking Jones at any point leading up to the draft, and it came in the "Mock Draft Roundup 3.0" article on March 2.

Jones went on to have a fantastic rookie season for the Chiefs, ranking as Pro Football Focus’ top pass rushing 3-4 defensive end with 42 quarterback pressures.

Highlighted by the play of Jones and fellow rookie and fifth-round pick Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs' 2016 draft class as a whole recently received a A- grade from NFL.com.

This year, the Chiefs are hoping to find similar success, as they hold the No. 27 overall selection in the first round.

In looking at 19 of the latest mock drafts from different platforms around the internet, the two most popular positions for the Chiefs at No. 27 are inside linebacker and quarterback, with four selections at each position.

A look at players going into today's mock draft round up.

Now, these selections will drastically change over the next few weeks as we get into free agency, but it's still a nice way to familiarize yourself with some of the names you'll hear as we get closer to the draft.

Here's a roundup of the latest mock drafts:
