While the Kansas City Chiefs might not *currently *hold a first-round pick in this year's draft, that doesn't mean there aren't mock drafts out there that Chiefs fans can't enjoy.
And that's because in a few of the latest mock drafts, which, for all intents and purposes should only be used as a way to get to know players, and not necessarily an indication of what the team might do—because nobody knows, the latest one that posted this week went beyond the first round.
The folks at NFL.com actually went five rounds with their latest mock draft.
Here's a look at their Chiefs' picks, plus a little excerpt from their draft profiles, courtesy of Lance Zierlein:
Round 2 (No. 54) – Sam Hubbard, OLB, Ohio State
Height – 6'5"
Weight – 265 pounds
2017 Stats – 42 tackles (13.5 for loss), 7 sacks, 2 forced fumbles

Round 3 (No. 78) – Nathan Shepherd, DT, Fort Hays State
Height – 6'5"
Weight – 315 pounds
2017 Stats – 38 tackles (12.5 for loss), 4 sacks

"His physical traits and athletic ability will be considered moldable clay by NFL evaluators and coaches. Flashes a big-time hand slap and hip flip to hurl himself around a blocker's edge as a rusher. Athletic when pursuing in space.
"Shepherd lined up inside in college, but may be better suited as a 4i or five-technique in a 3-4 front. While he won't be ready early on, he has the ability to become a productive NFL defensive lineman with improved strength and better technique work."

"Elliott has good size and is a physical defender who will need to play near the line of scrimmage to take advantage of his aggressiveness and minimize his athletic limitations. Scouts say he loves the game including the work that goes into it so he has a good shot of sticking on a roster as a backup strong safety with immediate coverage ability on kickoffs and punts."

Height – 6'4"
Weight – 301 pounds
Started 13 games at left guard in 2017

"He has the play strength, body control and hand usage you want from an interior player, but his tape simply wasn't trustworthy this season. Teller has limitations, but he also has enough in the toolbox to work with. He'll be a fit as a backup with eventual starter potential in a power-based scheme if he can revert to his 2016 form."

"Long target with good size and functional speed. Ateman played in a vertical offense that took advantage of subpar secondaries in his conference and should fit into a West Coast offense as a pro. His frame and ball skills give him instant credibility as a jump ball threat in the red-zone while he continues to hone his skill set. Ateman should be an early backup with a chance to climb the ladder on the depth chart."
