A look back at all 15 compensatory picks of the Kansas City Chiefs

While the Kansas City Chiefs weren't awarded any compensatory draft picks for the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft, the team has benefited from such picks in the past, including the 2013 season. Below is a look at the all-time list of the Chiefs players who were selected with compensatory picks.

RB Knile Davis - Arkansas - Third Round - (96th overall)

16 games (one start), 70 rushes for 242 yards, four TDs, 11 receptions for 75 yards

10 kickoff returns for 321 yards and one TD

One playoff game - 18 carries for 67 yards and one TD, as well as seven receptions for 33 yards and one TD

FB Braden Wilson - Kansas State - Sixth Round - (204th overall) - Did not play in an NFL game.

2011:

DL Jerrell Powe – Mississippi - Sixth Round (199th overall)

12 games (one start), six tackles, two assists, one sack, one PBU, one QB hurry and two TFLs

2009:

K Ryan Succop – South Carolina - Seventh Round (256th overall)

80 games, 119 makes, 147 attempts (81%), 160 PATs (100% conversion), equating to 517 points

Two playoff games - three for three FGs, with a long kick of 43 yards and six for six on PATs

2005:

P Dustin Colquitt – Tennessee - Third Round -(99th overall)

142 games, 744 punts for 33,386 yards (44.9 avg), long of 81 yards, 66 touchbacks, 285 punts inside the 20-yard line and 29,372 net yards (39.3 avg)

Three playoff games, 11 punts for 545 yards (49.5 avg), long of 66 yards, two touchbacks and 477 net yards (43.4 avg)

2003:

S Willie Pile – Virginia Tech - Seventh Round (252 overall)

Pile played two seasons (2004-2005), one with the Chiefs and one with the Dallas Cowboys

32 games (six starts), 33 tackles, eight assists and two PBUs

DT Terdell Sands – UT Chattanooga - Seventh Round (243rd overall)

Sands played seven seasons (2003-2009), six with Oakland, one with Green Bay and New England.

77 games (14 starts), 96 tackles, 35 assists, four sacks, one INT, 10 PBUs, six QB hurries, three TFLs and two fumble recoveries

2000:

CB Pat Dennis – Louisiana Monroe - Fifth Round, (162nd overall)

Dennis played four seasons (2000-02, 2004), including stops in KC, Dallas, Houston and Washington

41 games (13 starts), 75 tackles, eight assists, one INT, 13 PBUs, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries

Chiefs Compensatory Picks in the '90s

1998:

FB Ernest Blackwell – Missouri - Seventh Round (224th overall)

Didn't play in an NFL game.

1997:

RB June Henley – Kansas - Fifth Round (163rd overall)

He played for St. Louis in 1998, starting three of 11-career games, totaling 88 rushes for 313 yards, three TDs and 35 receptions for 252 yards

He returned one kickoff for 13 yards and recorded one-career fumble recovery

WR Isaac Byrd – Kansas - Sixth Round (214th overall)

Played six seasons (1997-2002), three with the Titans and three with the Carolina Panthers

61 games (21 starts), two carries for -2 yards and 93 receptions for 1,229 yards and six TDs

10-career punt returns for 91 yards and 35 kickoff returns for 707 yards

Four playoff games (one start), totaling four receptions for 40 yards

1996:

DB/KR Darrell Williams – Tennessee State - 7th round (245th overall)

Didn't play in an NFL game.

1995:

LB Jerrott Willard – California - Fifth Round - (164th overall)

Played in one game for the Chiefs in 1998.

DT Bryan Proby – Arizona State - Sixth Round (202nd overall)

Played in three games for the Chiefs in 1995.

DT/G Tom Barndt – Pittsburgh - Sixth Round (207th overall)

Played six seasons (1996-2001, four with the Chiefs and one season each with the Bengals and Jets)

81 games (36 starts), 70 tackles, 36 assists, eight sacks, two PBUs, one forced fumble and five fumble recoveries

Played in one playoff game for the Chiefs (1997)
