Running back Latavius Murray has 13 carries for 68 yards rushing and a touchdown as the Oakland Raiders lead the Kansas City Chiefs, 14-7, at halftime from O.co Coliseum in Oakland, California.
The Raiders started the game with the ball and from their own 20-yard line, quarterback Derek Carr put together a nine-play drive that heavily featured Murray, who compiled 50 yards. Murray scored the first touchdown of the game with a 1-yard rush and the Raiders led, 7-0.
Kansas City answered the Oakland scoring drive on the ensuing possession with one of its own. After driving down the field in eight plays, quarterback Alex Smith took it himself, scoring a touchdown on a 3-yard rush to tie the game.
There would be no more scoring until 19 seconds remaining in the second quarter. On second down from the Kansas City 25-yard, Carr fired a pass to wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who caught the ball between two Chiefs defenders and gave Oakland a 14-7 lead at half.
Smith is 8 for 11 for 92 yards passing. Maclin has 6 receptions for 69 yards receiving. Carr is 10 of 16 for 91 yards passing.
