The Kansas City Chiefs added to their defensive front on Friday night by selecting Tennessee defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott with the No. 63 overall pick.
Here's more on the newest member of the defensive tackle room.
1. Norman-Lott led all FBS interior linemen in pass-rush win rate last season.
The 6-foot-2, 303-pound Norman-Lott was part of a heavy rotation along Tennessee's defensive line that limited his volume statistics, but when on the field, he certainly made the most of it. In fact, Norman-Lott recorded the top pass-rush win rate (12.6%) and win percentage (18.9%) of any interior defensive lineman in the FBS last season.
He tallied 27 pressures on his 139 pass-rush snaps in 2024, finishing second on the Volunteers in pressures despite ranking 20th on the team in defensive snaps.
2. He had the largest hands of any defensive lineman at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Norman-Lott's hands measured at 10 ¾ inches at the Combine earlier this year, which marked the largest of any defensive lineman at the event. Unsurprisingly, those massive hands were a big part of Norman-Lott's success at Tennessee.
Here's a bit more from Dane Brugler’s pre-draft guide for The Athletic:
"He's a compact ball of energy with massive, stiff hands…He erases reach of blockers with fierce club/swipe moves…He's an explosive disruptor and offers high upside for a coaching staff that can harness his energy."
Lance Zierlein from NFL.com also added the following:
"His pass-rush is fueled by quick, lively hands throughout the rep."
Norman-Lott logged the sixth-longest broad jump (9 feet, 11 inches) of any defensive tackle at the Combine as well.

3. He was the No. 34 overall player on Pro Football Focus' big board.
The folks at PFF had Norman-Lott as the fourth-best interior defensive tackle in this year's class behind only Mason Graham, Walter Nolen and Kenneth Grant.
PFF described Norman-Lott as an "explosive and powerful 3-technique" with "impressive upper-body strength to bench press linemen back." They compared him to Green Bay Packers' defensive tackle Kenny Clark in their draft guide.
4. Norman-Lott started his career at Arizona State before transferring to Tennessee.
A native of California, Norman-Lott spent the first three seasons of his career at Arizona State from 2020 through 2022. He appeared in 21 games during that time, logging four sacks, before transferring to Tennessee ahead of the 2023 campaign.
He went on to tally 16 pressures (and 5.5 sacks) on 149 pass-rush snaps during his first season for the Volunteers, recording a team-leading pass-rush win percentage of 11.9%. Norman-Lott then followed that up with an FBS-leading win percentage at his position (18.9%) the following season.
5. He seemed pretty excited to land in Kansas City.
"I'm incredibly blessed to be a part of the Chiefs Kingdom," Norman-Lott told reporters on Friday night. "I'm ready to get after it, hunt some quarterbacks down and make some plays in the backfield."
Norman-Lott went on to describe his play-style as "relentless" and "unforgiving" while emphasizing that he's excited to accept whatever role the coaches ask of him.
He also added that he's "ready to go get a ring," and now a member of one of the best defenses in the NFL, Norman-Lott will have an opportunity to help the Chiefs get back to the Super Bowl in 2025.
