The Kansas City Chiefs kick off the 2015 season on Saturday, August 1 on the campus of Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri—home of Chiefs training camp.

While there's never a bad day to check out Chiefs football with friends or family, there are a few days you might want to circle on your calendar that have been historically impressive up in St. Joe.

Here are the five dates you don't want to miss: 1.       Saturday, August 1 - First Practice Open to the Public

This will be the first opportunity for fans to check out this year's team. After back-to-back winning seasons in coach Andy Reid's first two years here in Kansas City, fans have the opportunity to see the 2015 version of the Chiefs begin their march towards the playoffs. Practice will start at 3:30 p.m. CT and it's one of four days the entire team will sign autographs afterwards.

2.       Sunday, August 2 – Alumni Day

On the second day of training camp, fans will have an opportunity to meet and get autographs from some of their favorite former Chiefs players. The entire current team will also be signing autographs after this practice.

3.       Saturday, August 8 – "American Family" Fun Day

If you're looking for a day to bring out the kids, there's no better opportunity than "American Family" Fun Day. Kids can get their faces painted in the "Kids Zone" section or get their picture taken with KC Wolf, Warpaint or a Chiefs cheerleader. There's no shortage of things to do on Family Fun Day, and this will also be a day that the entire team signs autographs after practice.

4.       Wednesday, August 12 – Season Ticket Member Appreciation Day

This has been an annual favorite for fans to attend up at training camp, as season ticket members are given special privileges and have increased Chiefs Kingdom Reward opportunities. This will also be a day that the entire team signs autographs after practice.

Several Members of the US Military from Ft Riley and Ft Leavenworth visited camp and met with the players and coaches after practice on Thursday.

5.       Wednesday, August 19 - Military Appreciation Day – Final Camp Practice

This is the last chance for fans to check out this year's team in a practice setting before camp breaks. The team takes on the Seattle Seahawks in the second preseason game just a few days later.
