Chiefs Trail Redskins, 10-7, at Halftime

The Chiefs scored in the closing minutes of the half to narrow the deficit

The Kansas City Chiefs are trailing the Washington Redskins, 10-7, at halftime on Monday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium.

Washington jumped out to an early ten-point lead before Chiefs' quarterback Alex Smith found tight end Travis Kelce for a 17-yard touchdown in the closing minutes of the half.

Smith completed 12 of 19 passes for 137 yards and the score in the half, while Kelce led all receivers with five catches for 81 yards. 

The Redskins struck first in the contest when quarterback Kirk Cousins found wide receiver Terrelle Pryor for a 44-yard touchdown on Washington's opening possession. Kicker Dustin Hopkins added a field goal before Kansas City narrowed the deficit as the half came to a close.
