The Kansas City Chiefs have signed linebacker Frank Zombo, the team announced today.
Zombo has nine-career starts in 25 games, during his three NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers (2010-12). His career numbers include 53 tackles, five sacks and two forced fumbles.
The Super Bowl champion, Zombo performed well on the game's biggest stage, totaling five tackles and one sack, during the Packers 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.
Zombo's best season statistically came in 2010, when he entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Packers, playing in 13 games (eight starts), totaling 38 tackles, with four sacks and two forced fumbles.
The Sterling Heights, Michigan native played collegiately at Central Michigan, where he was an All-MAC first-team linebacker, ranking second in school history with 25.5-career sacks.
