The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that the club has signed quarterback Aaron Murray. Murray was the team's fifth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft (208th overall). He became the fifth of Kansas City's six selections in the draft to sign with the club.
Murray (6-0, 201) started all 52 games at Georgia and became the first player in both the SEC and Georgia's history to throw for over 3,000 yards in four consecutive seasons. He completed 921-of-1,478 passes (62.3%) for 13,166 yards, 121 touchdowns and 41 interceptions and carried the ball 286 times for 396 yards and 16 touchdowns. His 13,166 passing yards and 121 passing TDs also top the SEC all-time charts. The Tampa, Fla., native prepped at Plant High School where he earned first-team all-state honors.
