Chiefs Injury Update: DT Chris Jones Returns from PUP List

Jones, Travis Kelce and Bennie Logan all returned to practice on Sunday

There was big news in camp on Sunday as defensive tackle Chris Jones was activated from the PUP (physically unable to preform) list and returned to practice. Jones had arthroscopic knee surgery on July 12.

Tight end Travis Kelce (knee) and defensive tackle Bennie Logan (knee) also returned to practice after missing Friday night's preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers. Safety Eric Berry (heel) and kicker Cairo Santos (groin), who also missed the game, did not practice on Sunday.

Defensive back Phillip Gaines (dislocated finger) and wide receiver Chris Conley (knee contusion), who both sustained their injuries in the preseason opener, returned to practice.

Conley didn't show any signs of the injury with an impressive practice, highlighted by a diving catch down the sideline in what was one of the most exciting plays of the day.

Defensive backs Steven Nelson (groin strain) and Terrance Mitchell (hamstring strain) also didn't practice on Sunday, and rookie defensive back Ashton Lampkin left practice with a knee injury.

Linebackers Tamba Hali (knee) and Dadi Nicolas (knee) and offensive lineman Parker Ehinger (knee) all remain on the PUP list and did not practice.
