The Kansas City Chiefs are asking members of Chiefs Kingdom to participate in selecting a new in-stadium touchdown celebration song by voting for their favorite of three pre-selected songs.
Fans will be able to select from the following three songs:
- "Hey, Kansas City!" by David George and A Crooked Mile
- "Song 2" by Blur
- "Let Me Clear My Throat" by DJ Kool
Edited versions of these songs that would be used in-stadium are available on **www.chiefs.com/tdsongvote*.*
The Chiefs will alternate playing each song after touchdowns in the home preseason games on Friday, August 21 against the Seattle Seahawks, and on Friday, August 28 against the Tennessee Titans. The winning song will be premiered after the first Chiefs touchdown on Thursday, September 17 during the regular season home opener against the Denver Broncos.
The fan vote is now open and will run through Monday, August 31 at 11:59 p.m. Voting will take place on www.chiefs.com/tdsongvote, where fans will be able to share their vote socially. Fans will also be able to vote through their Chiefs Kingdom Rewards account available on the Chiefs Mobile App and at www.chiefskingdomrewards.com. Members will receive 50 points per day for voting through their account. Fans that are not members can sign up to become Chiefs Kingdom Rewards members for free.
