Pro Bowl linebacker Derrick Johnson was carted off the field with an Achilles injury in the first half of the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Johnson, who is nearing Gary Spani's franchise record for career tackles, fell in a heap in the middle of the field without anybody touching him. He did not appear to be in much pain while being tended to by trainers, but was loaded onto a cart and driven to the locker room.
On the first series of the second half, Chiefs defensive tackle Mike DeVito went down while making a tackle and immediately grabbed at his right Achilles. He was in obvious pain while he was carted off the field, and the team announced moments later that he was out for the game.
The Chiefs had already lost starting linebacker Joe Mays to a broken wrist.
Earlier in the game, Chiefs right tackle Jeff Allen appeared to hurt his right arm and was replaced by Ryan Harris. Allen was already replacing the suspended Donald Stephenson.
Titans linebacker Zach Brown left with a shoulder injury. He was questionable to return.
