Even with 2 interceptions and no touchdowns by Denver quarterback Peyton Manning, the Broncos successfully kicked three field goals and had a pick-six interception to compile 16 points, enough to beat the Raiders Sunday.
With that considered, Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak still feels his offense needs to be better.
"The biggest thing offensively is that we have to finish," he said. "When you go back and look, we dropped a couple of touchdowns and had a turnover in the end zone. That's 17 points and maybe more. It's obviously a concern, it has to get a lot better and everybody just has to take their responsibility and take more upon themselves to continue to push forward. I think that we're working hard and the guys are working hard, but we're just not playing very consistently and we have to find a way to do that."
That said, Kubiak has enjoyed the success of the perfect start.
"I've been doing this a long time," he explained. "I think in coaching that you're always searching for perfection and obviously we're far from it. We have some tremendous things going on defensively and we're battling offensively right now. It's hard to win in this league and I've been doing it long enough to know that you had better appreciate it."

Raiders lose to the Broncos and fall to 2-3 on the season
With the Raiders headed into the bye week, head coach Jack Del Rio said it's a time for self-scouting

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said through five weeks, his team is headed in the right direction.
"I know that we've made a lot of strides," he explained. "I know that 2-3 is not what we wanted it to be. We had hopes it'd be better. It's what we've earned to this point. We have a lot of football in front of us, so we'll focus on the road in front of us, the work that we have ahead of us and make sure that we're learning what we can from the previous five weeks of experience."
Del Rio said that he liked the way his defense played against the Broncos, despite the 16-10 loss.
"That was as good as we've played on defense through the start of the year," he said. "There have been several bright spots, several areas of improvement. A lot of things that we've worked hard on that are beginning to show themselves, manifest themselves in production on game day. We still know there's a ton of work in front of us. We will take this time and reflect on the beginning, heal up where we're a little banged up in certain spots and get ready to go forward."
