OPENING STATEMENT:"Alright, as far as the injuries go: Tamba [Hali] did not practice today, which was all part of the schedule. Dontari [Poe] didn't practice today with the back spasms, Justin Houston did partial; he was out here and moved around a little bit, and we'll just see. We'll see how it all goes here. [Jeremy] Maclin practiced today. Dee Ford practiced today. Am I missing anybody? Kendall Reyes practiced today. Alright, so, those are all the guys.
"For a short period of time, we had Joe McKnight here, and so, Joe lost his life yesterday. It's a tragic deal. This world is a bit crazy right now – just a bit crazy. Hopefully, we can stop the nonsense that is going on, but what a great kid. We appreciated having him here. Our hearts go out to his family.
"With that, we look forward to the challenge of playing the Atlanta Falcons. We know what kind of team they are. They're one of the better teams in the National Football League. We're playing at their place; it's an exciting atmosphere. Our guys have had a great week of practice. Again, we look forward to the challenge."
Q:Eric Bieniemy and Joe McKnight have a long history together. Did you get a chance to talk to Bieniemy about it?
REID:"I did. Eric [Bieniemy] is down in the dumps a little bit. So, it's a rough thing. He's from New Orleans and knows Joe [McKnight] from living in New Orleans, you know. That's where Eric is originally from before they moved to California. So, he's got a lot of people there that they were connected with. Sad deal, man. Sad deal."
Q:Joe McKnight had a nice game for you too, didn't he?
REID:"He did – at Miami. He had a great game. We have to get ourselves together, man. Too many people are dying here. This is ridiculous – absolutely ridiculous."
