UConn's Byron Jones breaks the broad jump record

Byron Jones, a cornerback from the University of Connecticut, broke the broad jump record Monday by jumping 12 feet and three inches.

The previous record was 11 feet and seven inches.

Jones also jumped 44.5 inches in the vertical jump event.
