Three members of the Kansas City Chiefs landed on the third-annual NFL Players Association All-Pro Team on Wednesday as defensive tackle Chris Jones, left guard Joe Thuney and center Creed Humphrey each checked in on the all-star squad.
This particular honor, which is also called the Players' All-Pro Team, is unique in that it is exclusively voted on by the players themselves. Players – who cannot vote for themselves or their teammates – only vote on the position that they play or line up against, creating a list that allows for true peer-to-peer recognition.
Jones has now earned a spot on the team in all three years of the honor's existence after logging 74 pressures, 20 quarterback hits and five sacks in 15 games this season. In fact, despite missing two games this year, Jones' 74 pressures still ranked sixth among all players in 2024.
Thuney and Humphrey, meanwhile, each landed on the team for the first time in their respective careers.
Thuney was excellent at left guard once again in 2024, as he ranked second among all guards in terms of pass-blocking according to Pro Football Focus, but his late-season efforts at left tackle shouldn't be overlooked. Thuney, despite lining up across from the likes of edge rushers such as T.J. Watt, Danielle Hunter and Myles Garrett, didn't allow a sack in his three starts at left tackle this year.
Joining Thuney on this year's All-Pro team is Humphrey, whose 1,112 offensive snaps this season lead all centers. Additionally, Humphrey has been the league's best overall and pass-blocking center this year according to Pro Football Focus.
All three players helped the Chiefs compile the best regular-season record in franchise history, and now with the playoffs on the horizon, Jones, Thuney and Humphrey will look to maintain their elite level of play into the postseason.
