The Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the third annual Chiefs 5K on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 9 a.m.
The event allows more than 3,000 participants to race through the concourses and the Hall of Honor inside of Arrowhead Stadium. More than 7,000 people of all ages have participated in the two previous years.
The unique feature of this year's race as opposed to previous years is that the run will conclude at The University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex, where players practice and prepare for games.
Participants will receive a one-of-a-kind Chiefs 5K finisher's medal and a commemorative t-shirt for running in the event.
A portion of the proceeds will go to a local charity.
There is still time to register for the event. Visit chiefs5k.com for more information.
