Tickets to the 13th edition of the Fall Classic featuring Northwest Missouri State University and the University of Central Missouri will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, August 10 at 10 a.m. The 2016 version of the NCAA Division II tradition is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Arrowhead Stadium.
Tickets available to the general public are $25 for Field Level seating and $40 for tickets on the Scout Investments Club Level. Youth tickets to Field Level seating for ages 3-18 are $10. For students of the participating schools who want to attend the game, tickets are $10 with a valid student ID and may be purchased through a participating university. Student tickets are available on game day at the Arrowhead box office with a valid student ID. Fans interested in tickets for groups of 15 or more or suite availability can get more information by calling (888) 99- CHIEFS (24433). Parking for the game is $12 per car and $25 for RV/bus parking.
The taxpayers of Jackson County, Mo., followed by Chiefs Season Ticket Members will receive first priority to purchase tickets for the Fall Classic. The presale for Jackson County residents will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 8. Chiefs Season Ticket Member presale will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9. Jackson County presale tickets must be purchased in person at the Arrowhead Stadium Ticket Office. No phone orders will be accepted for this special presale event. Jackson County taxpayers purchasing tickets must have one form of identification that includes a photo of the purchaser and a 2015 Jackson County, Mo., personal property tax receipt. The Chiefs will notify Season Ticket Members via email prior to the sale with instructions on how to participate.
General tickets and parking can be ordered by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at the Arrowhead Stadium Ticket Office located between Founder's Plaza and the Hy- Vee Gate on the north side of the stadium. Parking passes can also be purchased in advance at www.chiefs.com/fallclassicparking.
The game marks the 13th time that the Home of the Chiefs will host the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats in the Fall Classic. In the 12 prior games, Northwest Missouri State played Pittsburg State University. The Bearcats own a 9-3 record all-time at Arrowhead Stadium. This year marks the first time the University of Central Missouri Mules will play at Arrowhead Stadium.
Leading the home team, Northwest Missouri State, is head coach Adam Dorrel. Dorrel is going on 13 years with the team, the first seven as an offensive coordinator. In the team's most recent campaign, Northwest recorded a perfect 15-0 regular season record and went on to capture the NCAA Div. II National Championship. In Dorrel's first five years at the helm, Northwest has compiled a 61-8 (.884) record.
Seventh-year head coach Jim Svoboda leads the visitors, Central Missouri. Under Svoboda, the Mules have accumulated a 47-22 (.681) overall record, including a 40-19 (.677) mark in conference play. The Mules have made three postseason appearances during his tenure and fell just shy of a postseason berth in the 2015 season after going 8-3 in the regular season.
