The Kansas City Chiefs are officially bringing back wide receiver Hollywood Brown for another season.
Brown, who missed the majority of 2024 after suffering a sternoclavicular posterior dislocation during the preseason, returned in Week 16 and immediately made his presence felt. His first catch as a member of the Chiefs moved the chains on fourth down to extend an eventual touchdown drive, and while his opportunities were limited due to the circumstances, Brown's impact on the offense was evident.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes said as much following the Chiefs' victory over Pittsburgh in late December.
"You throw Hollywood in there, it kind of sets everybody perfectly in their roles," Mahomes said. "When you have that many weapons out there, it's hard for the defense to account for [everybody]. Hollywood has made a huge impact on this offense."
Overall, the veteran wide receiver caught 14 passes for 141 yards in five games last season (including the playoffs), and now with a new contract in-hand, he'll have a chance to pick up where he left off in 2025.
