Chiefs RB Joe McKnight Ruptures Achilles

Joe McKnight suffered a season-ending injury at practice on Thursday

Kansas City Chiefs running back Joe McKnight is done for the year after rupturing his achilles tendon Thursday afternoon at practice.

It was a non-contact injury and McKnight is the third Chiefs player lost for the year with an achilles injury. Linebacker Derrick Johnson and defensive lineman Mike DeVito were injured during the Chiefs first game of the season against the Tennessee Titans.

McKnight is in his fifth NFL season and is coming off the best game of his career against the Miami Dolphins, where he caught a team-high six passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns.
