Chiefs Lead Jaguars, 20-0, at Halftime

The Chiefs are leading the Jaguars at Arrowhead Stadium

The Kansas City Chiefs are leading the Jacksonville Jaguars, 20-0, at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 13-of-24 passes for 176 yards in the half, putting Kansas City ahead with a 4-yard touchdown scramble on the Chiefs' first offensive drive.

Mahomes' dash into the end zone marked the second rushing score of his career and the first touchdown allowed by the Jaguars in the first half of a game this season.

Harrison Butker went on to add a pair of field goals for Kansas City before defensive end Chris Jones picked off Jaguars' quarterback Blake Bortles and brought it all the way back for a 20-yard touchdown in the closing minutes of the half.

It was the Chiefs' first defensive score of the season and the first touchdown of Jones' career.

Overall, Kansas City held Jacksonville off the scoreboard as cornerback Steve Nelson picked off Bortles with seconds remaining on the clock to lead the Chiefs into halftime with a shutout in hand for the first time since Week 14 of last season.

Catch the second half of action on CBS (KCTV5 local) and 101.1 The Fox.
