Chiefs Among Top Trending NFL Teams in Google's "Year in Search"

Kareem Hunt also appeared in the rankings as one of the most searched NFL players

The Kansas City Chiefs have garnered plenty of attention this season, and the folks over at Google have the numbers to prove it.

Google released its 17th annual "Year in Search" on Wednesday morning, and the Chiefs were among the top trending NFL teams in 2017.

Much of that publicity is due to the performance of rookie tailback Kareem Hunt, who also checked in on the rankings as one of the top trending NFL players this year.

Hunt made headlines throughout his rookie campaign, tallying a slew of records, appearing on the front of Sports Illustrated and becoming just the second player in franchise history to rush for 1,000 yards in their first season as a professional.
