Dante Fowler impresses in the 40-yard dash in style
Dante Fowler, who played defensive end at the University of Florida, made waves at the Scouting Combine for a couple reasons Sunday morning.
As you'll notice in the tweet from the NFL, Fowler wore a gold watch as he ran the 40-yard dash and complemented the outfit with cheetah-style cleats.
Officially, his time came out to 4.60 seconds, the sixth-best time of the day.
Defensive end Shane Ray did not work out at Combine
Missouri defensive end Shane Ray, who is projected to be a first-round draft pick, did not work with the defensive end group on Sunday because of injury.
"When I think about the kind of player I am, and my determination, I'm a competitor," he said. "I want to be the best to come out, point-blank, period. Unfortunately [Sunday] I won't be able to perform because of an injury I had in my foot.
"So everything that's listed for [Sunday] … I'll be doing on my pro day."
The University of Missouri has yet to announce the date of their upcoming pro day.
