Michael Ragsdale

Biography

Michael Ragsdale enters his 18th season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2024 and was promoted to Vice President of Finance, Strategy and Analytics in May 2022.

In his role, Ragsdale is responsible for all areas of finance, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting, as well as the club's data science efforts, including analytics and business intelligence. Over his tenure, he has also been involved in helping revamp the club's financial systems and also serves as the lead analyst for Arrowhead Events, the team's dedicated special events business that brings concert, college football, motorsports and other events to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Ragsdale originally joined the Chiefs in 2007 as a staff accountant and worked in that capacity until 2016 when he was promoted to Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (2016-18). He most recently served as Director of Strategy and Analytics (2019-21).

Prior to joining the Chiefs, Ragsdale spent nearly three years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He received his Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Rockhurst University in Kansas City and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration in accounting and finance from Rockhurst while with the Chiefs.

He is a member of both the Missouri Society of Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has been a CPA since 2016. He currently serves on the American Cancer Society Charmen's Circle. He previously served as a Young Alumni Trustee for the Rockhurst University Board of Trustees and was a member of the board for the Young Professional Association at The University of Kansas Health System.
