Greg Carbin enters his sixth NFL season with Kansas City in 2024 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
Since Carbin joined the strength and conditioning staff in 2019, the team has won every AFC West title, has been in the AFC Championship Game each season, appeared in four Super Bowls (LIV, LV, LVII, LVIII) and added three Super Bowl banners (LIV, LVII and LVIII) including back-to-back Super Bowl championships (LVII, LVIII).
Prior to working for the Chiefs, Carbin served as the director of sports performance at Missouri Western State University, his alma mater and the home of Chiefs training camp. During his seven years at MWSU, Carbin developed and conducted the student-athletes' workouts during the school year and built the Griffon Strength and Conditioning program from the ground up. He returned to MWSU after working at North Kansas City High School as a football and track coach. He began his career at MWSU as a graduate assistant in strength and conditioning for one year (2013) before being promoted to director of sports performance in 2014.
The Jefferson City, Mo., native played defensive back at MWSU where he was a four-year letter winner (2003-06) for the Griffon football team and helped guide the Griffons to their first ever NCAA Playoff appearance in 2006. Carbin totaled 128 tackles (88 solo), five interceptions and has 35 kickoff returns for 794 yards and averaged 22.6 yards per return. He was a member of the MWSU Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, as well as a member of the MWSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
