Mike Savage grew up on the Chiefs, Royals, and Cows - Kansas City at its heart. Savage found inspiration, to show his love for the teams and bovines on this three-dimensional cow canvas, in happy childhood experiences. From watching Chiefs games at Municipal Stadium and Arrowhead, to attending ball games at "The K," to the years of working on his uncle's farm near Lawrence, Kansas - Mike's artistic sensibility was honed.
He paints in a colorful, impressionistic style - much like the teams represented on Bessie Joe. The artist hopes it moooooves you.
Savage resides in Westwood, Kansas.
