Red Friday is a longstanding Kansas City tradition - a time when the community comes together to cheer on the Chiefs while giving back to and supporting local families in need. Over the past 10 years, the sale of Red Friday flags has raised more than $5.5 million to help RMHC-KC continue its mission of keeping families close in times of sickness and need.

What time will flags go on sale?

  • Online sales begin at 6am CST. For in person purchases, please check your local stores for hours of operation.

How can I purchase flags if I am not local?

  • Flags are available online at shop.chiefs.com starting at 6am CST on Wednesday, September 4th.

Where will flags be available for purchase in person?

  • 135 Kansas City and St. Joseph-area McDonald's restaurants with net proceeds benefiting RMHC-KC. Additionally, flags will be available at Kansas City-area Hy-Vee locations and other public locations throughout the metro area. A complete map of locations is available at chiefs.com/redwednesday.

Is cash accepted for in person purchases?

  • Yes

How much will flags cost?

  • Flags are $5 each in person and $10 each online.

What is the maximum number of flags I can purchase?

  • If you are looking to purchase a large quantity, we recommend shopping online at shop.chiefs.com as there is no limit. Quantities will vary at each location for in person purchases.

Will flags be restocked?

  • This limited-edition flag is available on a first come, first served basis and will not be restocked.
