INTERNATIONAL SERIES: Today's game marked the first time the Chiefs have played in an International Series contest at Wembley Stadium. The Chiefs 45 points today tied an International Series record, matching the New England Patriots total when they beat the St. Louis Rams 45-7 on Oct. 28, 2012.

SMITH ON THE RUN AND THROUGH THE AIR: In the second quarter, QB Alex Smith utilized his feet in the Chiefs run game, taking the ball for a 49-yard gain, marking a career-long run for Smith. Seven plays later, Smith took the ball for a 12-yard rush into the endzone. Smith had 61 rushing yards in the 73-yard TD drive and scored his first rushing TD of the season. The Chiefs are 3-0 in games where Smith rushes for a TD. He finished the game with 78 rushing yards on five carries (15.6 avg.). Smith finished the game completing 18 of his 26 passes for 145 yards and two TDs, good for a 108.7 passer rating. It marks his second 100.0+ passer rating game of the season and the 22nd time in his career he has logged a 100.0 or better rating as a starter in the regular season with 20 or more pass attempts. He is 21-1 in those contest. Today marks the second time in his career (first since joining the Chiefs in 2013) that he has recorded a rushing TD while completing two TD passes in the same contest. He is 2-0 in those contests.

THOMAS RUNS IN TD: WR De'Anthony Thomas logged his first rushing TD of the year on a 10-yard run, bringing his total to two touchdowns on the season. Thomas added three catches for 22 yards on the day.

MACLIN CONNECTS WITH SMITH: QB Alex Smith hit WR Jeremy Maclin on a 17-yard TD pass, marking Maclin's second receiving TD this season. Maclin finished the day with three catches for 35 yards and one TD.

DAVIS LOGS 50-YARD RETURN: RB Knile Davis took the first kickoff return attempt of the game 50 yards, setting up the offense at the 44-yard line. Davis added four carries for nine yards.

WEST LEADS RUSHERS: One week following his first 100-yard rushing performance, RB Charcandrick West led the team with 97 yards rushing on 20 attempts (4.9 avg.).

WARE LOGS FIRST NFL TD: FB/RB Spencer Ware ran in his first rushing TD on an eight-yard run in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with two carries for 12 yards.

KELCE SCORES THIRD TD IN 2015: TE Travis Kelce connected with QB Alex Smith on a two-yard completion to score his third touchdown of the season and eighth of his career. He tied his season-high with six catches, while leading the team with 49 receiving yards.

SMITH INTERCEPTS STAFFORD: CB Sean Smith logged his first INT of the season and the ninth in his career when he intercepted Detroit QB Matthew Stafford in the second quarter.

RED ZONE EFFICIENCY: The Chiefs finished the day 6 of 7 (86%) in the red zone.

RUSHING TOUCHDOWNS: In today's game, the Kansas City Chiefs recorded four rushing touchdowns by four different players – De'Anthony Thomas, Alex Smith, Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware. It is only the second time in franchise history that the club had four rushing touchdowns from four different players. The last time it happened was on October 2, 1960, when the Chiefs (then the Dallas Texans) had rushing touchdowns from Abner Haynes, Johnny Robinson, Bo Dickinson and Cotton Davidson in a 37-35 loss to the New York Titans in the inaugural season of the American Football League. It marks the 16th time in franchise history that the club has recorded four or more rushing touchdowns in a single game and is the first such game since the team had a franchise record eight rushing touchdowns on October 24, 2004 in a 56-10 win vs. the Atlanta Falcons. In contests with four or more rushing touchdowns, the Chiefs own a 14-2 record (.875).

THIRD DOWN SUCCESS: The Chiefs defense held the Lions to convert just 1 of 6 third-down attempts in the first half, while the Chiefs offense managed to convert 5 of 7 of their third-down attempts. The defense continued to stay strong in the second half allowing just one third-down conversion. The Lions finished the game completing only 2 of 12 attempts (17%). The Chiefs offense finished the game converting 8 of 13 third down attempts (62%), which is the best mark this season and the second week in a row the Chiefs have had a 50% or better conversion percentage on third downs.

MATCHING HIGH OFFENSIVE MARKS FROM 2013: In today's 45-10 win, the Chiefs recorded their largest winning point differential since a 35-point win (45-10) at Washington on December 8, 2013. The Chiefs six offensive touchdowns are the most by the club since the team recorded seven offensive touchdowns (five receiving, two rushing) in a 56-31 win at Oakland on December 15, 2013.

SACK CITY: In today's game, the Chiefs defense sacked Detroit QB Matthew Stafford 6.0 times (-32.0 yards), marking the first game of the season in which Kansas City has sacked the opposing quarterback 6.0 or more times. The Chiefs have recorded 6.0 or more team sacks 56 times in team history. In those 56 games, Kansas City has a 50-5-1 (.902) record and has outscored its opponents 1,649 to 668, including four shutouts. Since Head Coach Andy Reid and Defensive Coordinator Bob Sutton arrived in Kansas City in 2013, the Chiefs have seven games with 6.0 or more team sacks, with a 7-0 record in those contests. Kansas City has outscored its opponents 221-59.

HALI PAIRS WITH HOUSTON ON SACK: LB Tamba Hali split a sack with LB Justin Houston for a loss of six yards in the fourth quarter. Hali owns 3.5 sacks this season and 83.0 sacks in his career. Hali added two tackles on the day.

HOUSTON LOGS SACK & INT: LB Justin Houston logged his first INT of the season and second of his career. Today's INT marks the first by Houston since Oct. 14, 2012 at Tampa Bay. Houston also logged 1.5 sacks today, bringing his season total to 5.5 sacks (-41.0 yards) and 54.0 in his career. Today is the first time in Houston's career he has recorded both a sack and interception in a single game.

POE LOGS FIRST SACK IN 2015: DT Dontari Poe sacked QB Matthew Stafford for a loss of two yards, marking his first sack this season. Poe added three solo tackles on the day.

PARKER GETS TO QB: CB Ron Parker sacked QB Matthew Stafford twice for a loss of nine total yards. His 2.0 sacks today mark a single-game career high as well as a single-season career high for Parker. He added four solo tackles and two passes defensed on the day.

JOHNSON SACKS STAFFORD: LB Derrick Johnson sacked QB Matthew Stafford for a loss of seven yards on third down, forcing the Lions to punt. This marks Johnson's second sack this season. He owns 24.5 sacks in his career. Johnson led the team with five solo tackles today.Â

CHIEFS ABROAD: The 2015 Chiefs team has several global ties, including five internationally born players. Chiefs LB Tamba Hali hails from Monrovia, Liberia. He moved to Teaneck, N.J. at the age of 10. Second-year OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is from Hillaire, Quebec, where he attended McGill University and became just the second player out of McGill to be drafted into the NFL. A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, K Cairo Santos joined the team as a CFA in 2014. He attended St. Joseph's Academy in Miami, Fla., as a foreign exchange student where he learned to play American football. Rookie DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches was drafted by the Chiefs in the sixth round (217th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. Nunez-Roches was born in Dangriga, Belize, and moved to the U.S. at the age of eight. Rookie WR Chris Conley, was born in Adana, Turkey, while his father was stationed there with the Air Force. Assistant Special Teams Coach Brock Olivo spent three years abroad coaching in Italy. Olivo held various coaching roles for the Italian National Football Team. He was also the head coach, offensive coordinator and special teams coordinator of the S.S. Lazio Marines, a Serie A1 team, which competes in Italy's IFL, the country's highest level of American football.
