Three members of the Kansas City Chiefs landed on the annual Associated Press All-Pro First Team on Friday as left guard Joe Thuney, defensive tackle Chris Jones and cornerback Trent McDuffie each checked in on the all-star squad.
This marks the first inclusion on the "First Team" for Thuney, who earned a spot on the "Second Team" in both 2019 and 2022. Thuney finished the regular season as Pro Football Focus' top-ranked pass-blocking guard in the NFL, doing so for a third-straight year.
Jones, meanwhile, landed on the "First Team" for a second-straight season after recording 10.5 sacks and 75 pressures in just 16 games, trailing only Aaron Donald among interior defensive linemen in the latter category.
Lastly, McDuffie has now earned the distinction of being an "All-Pro" for the first time in his career following a season in which he led all cornerbacks in pressures (18) and forced fumbles (5). McDuffie is the first player to ever make the team under the "slot cornerback" designation, which is new this year.
All three players helped the Chiefs win the AFC West for an eighth-straight season in 2023, and with the playoffs set to kick off this weekend, they'll each aim to lead Kansas City to a victory on Saturday.
