Pro Football Focus Ranks Creed Humphrey as the NFL's Best Center

Humphrey topped PFF’s center rankings last week

Only three years into his NFL career, Creed Humphrey may very well be the top center in the National Football League. Pro Football Focus claimed as such last week, as they ranked Humphrey as the league’s best center heading into 2024.

Here's what they wrote about the Chiefs' Pro Bowl center:

"Humphrey surpassed Jason Kelce as the game's best center in our 2023 rankings, and with Kelce now retired, Humphrey is the clear best center in the NFL. He allowed just 16 pressures in 2023, and his 78.2 overall grade ranked seventh at the position."

The men flanking Humphrey on either side recently earned some well-deserved praise, too. In fact, Joe Thuney (No. 5) and Trey Smith (No. 13) each landed in the top 15 of PFF's offensive guard rankings late last month.

Humphrey, Thuney and Smith joined several other members of the Chiefs as those who earned high spots in PFF's annual positional rankings, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes (No. 1 QB), defensive tackle Chris Jones (No. 1 DT), tight end Travis Kelce (No. 2 TE), cornerback Trent McDuffie (No. 2 CB), linebacker Nick Bolton (No. 14 LB), linebacker Drue Tranquill (No. 15 LB) and tailback Isiah Pacheco (No. 15 RB).
