Quarterback Patrick Mahomes can add another accolade to his already immense collection after earning the Professional Football Writers of America's "Most Valuable Player" award on Wednesday.
This marks the second-career PFWA MVP for Mahomes, who led the NFL in passing yards (5,250) and passing touchdowns (41) in 2022. He also earned the honor in 2018, making him one of just eight players in the history of the organization to win multiple MVP awards.
The award, which was voted on by members of the PFWA, is just another of what will likely be several more to come for the 27-year-old Mahomes. In fact, Mahomes was also named a finalist for the Associated Press MVP award on Wednesday, which will be revealed during the NFL Honors ceremony early next month.
It has simply been a season to remember for Mahomes, and he'll look to keep it going this Sunday as the Chiefs take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game.
