Here’s a look at who didn’t take the field for the Chiefs on Wednesday

The Kansas City Chiefs took the field for a second-straight day of pads on Wednesday morning as training camp continued up in St. Joseph.

In terms of who left practice early on Wednesday due to injuries, defensive end Alex Okafor (hamstring) and linebacker Willie Gay Jr. (concussion protocol) exited before the conclusion of the period.

Among those who didn't participate on Wednesday were wide receiver Tyreek Hill (knee tendinitis), cornerback DeAndre Baker, tight end Evan Baylis, safety Juan Thornhill (groin strain), wide receiver Chad Williams (groin strain), offensive tackle Mike Remmers (back spasms), tight end Nick Keizer (back), defensive end Malik Herring (knee) and offensive lineman Kyle Long (leg).

Cornerback Charvarius Ward, who missed Tuesday's practice due to eye irritation, was back out there on Wednesday. Additionally, tailback Darwin Thompson (COVID protocols) returned to practice.

The Chiefs will return to the field on Thursday at 9:15 am CT for another day of padded practice.
