Examining the annual Madden NFL player ratings has become a summer tradition for football fans across the world, and as the ratings in Madden NFL 2022 dropped over the course of this past week, this year was no different.
The ratings were consistent with what we already know about the Kansas City Chiefs heading into this season in that they're ridiculously talented across the board. That was reflected to the tune of five ratings north of 90, as quarterback Patrick Mahomes (99), tight end Travis Kelce (99), wide receiver Tyreek Hill (98), safety Tyrann Mathieu (95) and defensive tackle Chris Jones (92) each earned a 90+ rating.
Mahomes and Kelce, in particular, were two of only five players in the game to receive a rating of 99. Mathieu, meanwhile, was the top-rated safety in the game.
Additionally, Hill owns the distinction of being the fastest player in Madden NFL 2022 with a speed rating of 99. The electric Hill is the only player to feature a 99-speed mark and comes in just two points ahead of fellow wide receiver Mecole Hardman, whose 97-speed rating ranks third in the game.
It all just goes to show that once again, friends will be arguing that it's unfair to play as the Chiefs in this year's game.
