The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up mandatory minicamp at the team facility on Thursday, marking the final set of offseason activities before training camp kicks off next month.
"It's great to get these young guys in and our new players incorporated in the offense, defense and special teams," said Head Coach Andy Reid. "I like the effort that they put forward – the veterans included. We had great attendance for everything, so that was a plus, too."
The three-day mandatory camp concluded an otherwise voluntary offseason training program that began in early April with strength and conditioning activities. The program then moved on to on-field positional drills before graduating to offensive vs. defensive segments of practice over the last three weeks.
It's worth noting that padded practices aren't permitted this time of year and no "live" hitting is allowed to take place, but despite those limitations, the progress made over the last few months will lay the groundwork for training camp and beyond.
With all of that in mind, here are some quick notes from Tuesday and Wednesday's practices, which were open to members of the media.
Tuesday
- Cornerback Nohl Williams was a standout on Tuesday with multiple plays on the ball, including an interception in the end zone during 7-on-7 drills.
- Wide receiver Cyrus Allen continued to impress with several catches across both 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 segments of practice.
- Safety Chamarri Conner hauled in an interception deep over the middle of the field during an 11-on-11 portion.
- Wide receiver Xavier Worthy was busy with multiple receptions, including a toe-tap touchdown grab during 7-on-7 drills.
- Rookie wide receiver Xavier Loyd caught a pass deep downfield during 11-on-11 drills for one of the top plays of the day. Loyd, a Kansas City native, earned a contract following a successful tryout at rookie minicamp back in May.
- Rookie wide receiver Jeff Caldwell, an undrafted free agent signee, completed a toe-tap grab in the back of the end zone during a 7-on-7 segment.

Wednesday
- Tailback Ken Walker showed off his speed and elusiveness in the open field when he broke free around the edge for a big play during 11-on-11 drills.
- Wide receiver Jalen Royals was one of Wednesday's standouts with multiple catches, including a full-extension touchdown grab during an 11-on-11 segment.
- Quarterback Patrick Mahomes found tight end Travis Kelce for a touchdown during a red zone 7-on-7 segment. One of the greatest duos in NFL history will take the field together for another season in 2026.
- Cornerback Kristian Fulton knocked down a pass in the end zone during 7-on-7 drills.
- Wide receiver Cyrus Allen turned in another productive day with several catches throughout practice.
- Cornerback Christian Roland-Wallce knocked down a pass on a comeback route during a 7-on-7 segment.
- Rookie wide receiver Jacob De Jesus wrapped up practice with a leaping touchdown grab on the final play of 11-on-11 drills.
Next up, the Chiefs will head up to Missouri Western State University next month to kick off training camp. The full schedule of camp practices open to the public will be announced in the coming weeks.
