Series History
• This will mark the second time in the last seven years that Kansas City and Jacksonville will kick off the season against one another. The two teams met in Andy Reid's first contest as the Chiefs' Head Coach in 2013.
• Kansas City has won each of the last four meetings with Jacksonville dating back to 2010.
• In the last meeting between the two clubs in Jacksonville, the Chiefs won, 28-2. After falling behind, 2-0, Kansas City scored 28 unanswered points to secure the victory.
