The Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the fourth annual Arrowhead 5K at Arrowhead Stadium at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 10. New for this year's event, participants will race around the Truman Sports Complex and finish under the lights at Arrowhead.

Along the race route, runners and walkers will run through parking lots, around Kauffman Stadium, through the Arrowhead concourse and Hall of Honor before finishing under the lights at Arrowhead. Participants will receive a 2016 Arrowhead 5K t-shirt and a pint glass with their race packet upon check-in and will enjoy a post-race celebration on the field, including appearances by Chiefs Cheerleaders, KC Wolf and special Chiefs guests. New this year, the race will also be timed for competitors, and Chiefs tickets will be awarded for overall and age group winners.

For fans who wish to participate in the 5K, registration is now available online at www.chiefs.com/arrowhead5k. Early-bird registration, which will take place now through May 16, will be $35 for the general public and $30 for Season Ticket Members. Pre-event registration, from May 17 through June 9, will be $40 for the general public and $35 for Season Ticket Members. If space allows, race day registration will be $45 for all participants.

In its fourth year, the Arrowhead 5K run/walk was designed to give fans the opportunity to experience a run/walk event that offers something no other race event in Kansas City offers – the chance for runners to race inside Arrowhead Stadium and finish under the lights on the 50-yard line. Whether you run or walk, come in first or just run for fun, the Arrowhead 5K is designed for everyone to enjoy.
