The Kansas City Chiefs forced four turnovers and scored five touchdowns in a 43-16 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 7 of the 2020 season. They almost single-handedly hit the Over on the total (46) in what was the first of 16 Overs in 21 Chiefs road games through Week 15 of the 2022 season.
For more than two years at the BetMGM online sportsbook, no other NFL team cashed more Over tickets as a road team. But in the last two years, the script has flipped thanks in part to a dominant defense.
Since hitting in a win against the Houston Texans in Week 15 of the 2022 season, the Over is just 5-8. And without the Las Vegas Raiders' late score in Week 8, the road Over would've entered the Chiefs Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills on a five-game losing streak dating back to Week 18 last season.
In those five road games, the Chiefs allowed an average of 15.4 points, never allowing more than 20 points in a single game. They forced six total turnovers, had 13 sacks, and never allowed more than 5.5 yards per play.
The Chiefs next road game comes in Week 11 against the Buffalo Bills. As of Monday's NFL odds for the Chiefs-Bills matchup, the total is 45.5.
- Spread: Chiefs +1.5 (-105), Bills -1.5 (-115)
- Moneyline: Chiefs +105, Bills -125
- Total: Over 45.5 (-110), Under 45.5 (-110)
