Chiefs Acquire TE Peyton Hendershot in Trade with Dallas

Hendershot appeared in 25 games over the last two seasons

The Kansas City Chiefs made an addition to their offense on Tuesday by acquiring tight end Peyton Hendershot from the Dallas Cowboys.

The 25-year-old Hendershot, who originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2022, has 15 receptions for 141 yards and three total touchdowns in his career. He was primarily utilized as a blocker during his time in Dallas, serving in that capacity on 275 of his 457 career snaps (60.2%).

Hendershot was also a contributor on special teams for the Cowboys, logging 397 special teams snaps over the course of his two seasons as a professional. In fact, his 296 special teams snaps in 2022 ranked fourth on the Cowboys.

The 6-foot-4, 254-pound Hendershot will now have an opportunity to learn from fellow tight end Travis Kelce as the Chiefs aim to defend their title in 2024.
