Six Names to Know
Depending on where you look, the various experts from around the web have identified a handful of players who are widely considered the top tight end prospects in this year's class.
Here's a look at six players to know.
Tyler Warren – Penn State
Measurables: 6-foot-5, 256 pounds
Snapshot: The winner of the John Mackey Award as the top tight end in all of college football in 2024, Warren hauled in 104 catches for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns last season. His seventh-place finish in the Heisman Trophy voting was the highest for a tight end since 1977.
Big Board Rankings:
Pro Football Focus (Post-Combine): No. 8 overall (No. 1 TE)
Daniel Jeremiah (NFL.com) Top 50 (April 2): No. 6 overall (No. 1 TE)
Expert Analysis:
NFL.com: "Warren is a massive tight end who carried the Penn State offense this past season. He lined up in-line, in the slot and as a Wildcat quarterback. His production is the result of his size, catch radius and tenacity…After the catch, defenders bounce off him or go along for a ride as he drags them for extra yardage. As a Wildcat quarterback, he creates space with his power and leg drive. He's effective in the run game and looks to finish when possible."
PFF: "Warren is a do-everything tight end who any coach would love to input into their offense…His versatility is incredibly valuable in the run-and-pass games. He is worthy of a first-round selection."

Colston Loveland – Michigan
Measurables: 6-foot-6, 248 pounds
Snapshot: Loveland tallied 56 catches for 582 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games last season. He recorded just two drops on 82 targets.
Big Board Rankings:
Pro Football Focus (Post-Combine): No. 25 overall (No. 2 TE)
Daniel Jeremiah (NFL.com) Top 50 (April 2): No. 7 overall (No. 2 TE)
Expert Analysis:
NFL.com: "Loveland is a long, lean tight end with outstanding awareness, quickness and big-play ability. He has aligned in-line, as a wing and in the slot. He's urgent in his release. He has a tremendous feel for option routes and working in space. He can cleanly get in/out of breaks and he presents a big target to the quarterback. He attacks the ball in the air and is adept at finishing in crowds. After the catch, he has a smooth stride and possesses a nasty stiff-arm. He has some wiggle to make defenders miss, as well…Overall, Loveland is equipped to make a lot of catches as a starting tight end in his rookie campaign."
PFF: "Loveland brings plenty of value as a tall, long pass catcher with natural hands and crisp routes to line up as a big slot or "X" receiver. He also has some versatility to play attached to the line of scrimmage in certain situations."

Elijah Arroyo – Miami (FL)
Measurables: 6-foot-5, 250 pounds
Snapshot: Arroyo earned Second-Team All-ACC honors last year after catching 35 passes for 590 yards and seven touchdowns. His eight catches on throws of 20 or more yards downfield ranked fourth among all tight ends, and his 8.9 yards after-the-catch average ranked seventh.
Big Board Rankings:
Pro Football Focus (Post-Combine): No. 57 overall (No. 3 TE)
Daniel Jeremiah (NFL.com) Top 50 (April 2): No. 43 overall (No. 4 TE)
Expert Analysis:
NFL.com: "Arroyo is an athletic, seam-stretching tight end with ideal size/length. He moved around the formation in Miami's offense, but he did most of his damage flexed out in the slot. He's sudden in his release and he gains speed as he climbs down the field. He's at his best when he's attacking vertically or running away from defenders on crossers…Overall, Arroyo is still developing as a complete route runner, but he can do a lot of damage on limited touches because of his speed."
PFF: "Arroyo is a receiving tight end through and through who can lineup as a wingback and in the slot. If given a chance to show off his all-around athleticism, he can be a contributor as a big slot type."

Mason Taylor – LSU
Measurables: 6-foot-5, 251 pounds
Snapshot: The son of Pro Football Hall of Fame pass-rusher Jason Taylor and nephew of Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Zach Thomas, Taylor tallied 55 catches for 546 yards and two touchdowns in 2024. He dropped only one pass on 79 targets.
Big Board Rankings:
Pro Football Focus (Post-Combine): No. 72 overall (No. 4 TE)
Daniel Jeremiah (NFL.com) Top 50 (April 2): No. 32 overall (No. 3 TE)
Expert Analysis:
NFL.com: "Taylor is a big, athletic tight end with excellent quickness, hands and toughness. He primarily lined up in-line, but he also flexed out in the slot and took a few reps on the outside. He's polished as a route runner, showing the ability to set up defenders, lean into them and then create separation. He has a big catch radius, hauling in balls above his head as well as below his knees. He is a pure hands-catcher, keeping the ball away from his body…Overall, Taylor has the ability to be a Day 1 starter with high-volume production."
PFF: "Taylor is young and could still be growing into his talent and, more importantly, his strength…If he gets stronger, he can be a more versatile and consistent contributor."

Terrance Ferguson – Oregon
Measurables: 6-foot-5, 247 pounds
Snapshot: A four-year contributor for the Ducks, Ferguson left Oregon as the school's all-time leader in catches (134) and receiving touchdowns (16) by a tight end. He put on a show at the NFL Scouting Combine, too, by recording the top 40-yard dash (4.63 seconds) and vertical jump (39 inches) of any tight end at the event.
Big Board Rankings:
Pro Football Focus (Post-Combine): No. 77 overall (No. 5 TE)
Daniel Jeremiah (NFL.com) Top 50 (April 2): Not Ranked
Expert Analysis:
PFF: "Ferguson is a nice receiving tight end with the length to play some inline snaps."

Big Board Rankings:
Pro Football Focus (Post-Combine): No. 116 overall (No. 7 TE)
Daniel Jeremiah (NFL.com) Top 50 (April 2): Not Ranked
Expert Analysis:
PFF: "Helm has worked his way into becoming one of the class' best after-the-catch tight ends."
