Podolak is one of the toughest, most hard-nosed players to ever don a Chiefs uniform . . . Is the Chiefs second all-time leading rusher with 4,451 yards and 34 touchdowns on 1,158 carries . . . Was also an excellent pass receiver and return man . . . Caught 288 passes for 2,456 yards and six scores while averaging 8.6 yards per punt and 20.5 yards per kickoff return . . . His 8,178 career combined yards are the second-most in club history . . . Had one of the finest all-around performances in pro football history on Christmas Day 1971, when he had 350 total yards in a playoff loss to the Miami Dolphins; had 85 rushing yards, 110 receiving and 155 on returns . . . Led Kansas City in rushing four times, in receiving three and punt returns three . . . Wore jersey number 14 . . . Selected by the Chiefs in the second round of the 1969 draft . . .
